This project grew out of an enjoyable collaboration between two very different professions. As a psychotherapist for over four decades, I have spent my career helping people understand behavior, decision-making, emotions, and the ways we react under conditions of uncertainty. A colleague, a Chief Technology Officer, brings deep expertise in technology, data systems, and artificial intelligence. Together, we began experimenting with how AI tools could be applied to everyday investing—not to replace human judgment, but to enhance it. What started as a shared intellectual curiosity evolved into a vision for helping ordinary investors access institutional-quality insights through personalized dashboards, educational analytics, and intelligent risk indicators. We believe AI can help individuals become calmer, more informed, and more disciplined investors while still keeping the human being at the center of every financial decision.
My Daily Market Watch is a personalized five-minute dashboard designed to help me monitor the health of both the economy and my portfolio. It focuses on seven key areas: economic conditions, AI infrastructure spending, interest rates and inflation, energy markets, gold, market breadth, and signs of financial stress. At its core are three guiding questions: Is AI spending still accelerating? Is the economy slowing toward recession? And are my portfolio hedges—energy (XLE) and gold (IAU)—doing their job? By monitoring a select group of core holdings—GOOGL, AAPL, AMZN, ANET, NVDA, TSM, XLE, and IAU—I can quickly determine whether to maintain an offensive posture, remain balanced, or become more defensive. The goal is not to predict markets, but to identify emerging trends, manage risk, and make thoughtful adjustments rather than emotional decisions.
